Horse Training

Horse Schooling & Training

Horse training is available for a variety of reasons - some examples include bringing your horse back into work, keeping your horse in work while you're away, further education for OTTBs, jump schooling, and float training.

Based at stunning Otford Valley Equestrian, jam-packed with first class facilities, tailored training solutions are available to meet your horse's individual needs. Creating a horse you love to ride and work with is my goal. Please get in touch to discuss your personal goals and requirements.

A program is developed to work towards the goals you have for your horse and yourself and includes 3-5 sessions per week. Training may entail a selection of:
  • ground work
  • desensitisation
  • lunging
  • long-reining
  • flatwork/dressage schooling
  • pole work
  • show jump schooling
  • jump grids/gymnastics
  • xc schooling
  • water training
  • trail riding
  • float loading training
It's recommended you have also have a couple of lessons on site throughout the training process (some lessons may be included for free depending on the training package selected), so you and your horse go home both on the same page, talking the same language.

You're also invited to complete the training program by taking a trail ride out on your horse with me, a fantastic way to round out your horse's training and set you both on the right track for your next chapter together.

The length of time a horse is in for training depends ultimately on the horse, where it's at, how much time it's had off and how readily it transitions into work, and also that the rider is comfortable. We usually start off booking in a couple of weeks and take it from there.

I only have a very limited number of horse in for training at a time outside of training and competing my own horses, so every horse receives the very best attention and care. Bookings essential.

For more information or if you'd like to have a chat to discuss you and your horse's specific needs get in touch.

Highly recommend Christine! My daughter has attended a few of her Jump Clinics and always comes home with more confidence, knowledge, and can't wait to book in for the next one!
